Richard Wagner is a native of Cuero, a small town in South Texas. He completed his undergraduate education at Texas A&M University and legal education at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. While at St. Mary’s, he competed in numerous mock trials and worked extensively as a Director of the St. Mary’s Legal Research Board. After graduation, he served as the briefing attorney for Judge Preston Dial of the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio. Upon completion of Richard’s judicial internship, he began private practice as an associate with a well-respected defense firm which introduced him to medical malpractice and personal injury defense. Richard left that practice to join the Dallas-based firm, where Ken was a partner, shortly after it opened its San Antonio office. Two years after his association with that firm, he became a partner. Richard, too, has extensive experience in the courtroom. Like Ken, Richard’s trial experience demonstrates a high level of success. In over twenty-five years of practice, Richard has completed forty-three medical malpractice jury trials and has achieved a favorable verdict in ninety-five percent of those cases tried. During that time, he represented hundreds of health care providers in more than thirteen different counties in Texas.
